Gurmeet Kaur is Senior Research Fellow at Department Cum Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Panjab University. She also taught Gender Studies in the Institute of Social Science Education and Research. She is completing her PhD in Buddhist Studies under the supervision of Vijay Kumar Singh, Professor of Tibetan, Panjab University. Her research focus lies at the intersection of Buddhist Studies, Gender, and forced migration. She has been awarded Swami Vivekananda Single Girl Child Scholarship. Previously she has worked with IBM Daksh, Sage Sustainability and WECAN International in various capacities. She has published research papers and attended more than six international and national conferences. Her most recent publication is “Buddhism and Women” in Bloomsbury Religion in North America of Bloomsbury Academic.
